This office assists in providing for the health, safety, and welfare of Gillespie County residents and the environment.  Gillespie County is dedicated to the safety and welfare of all property owners.  The completion of all permit applications ensures that regulations set forth by the governing entities are in compliance with all standards.  Property owner or assigned designated agent can obtain all required applications.
Effective August 1, 2025,  all Floodplain determinations will be conducted by the County Engineer's Office and the Development Permit Determination and Site Plan with Narrative forms must be submitted to that office PRIOR to submitting septic applications to the OSSF Office.  These forms take the place of the "Development Permits" previously submitted.  Please keep in mind that this form is a requirement for septic permit approval and your septic application will not be considered complete until the Development Permit Determination has been signed by the County Engineer's Office and a copy  provided to the OSSF Office.
