The date and time of the court appearance is noted on your ticket.
If you do not want to appear in court:
If you do not want to appear in court then you have the option of paying the fine by mail or by paying in person at the court where the ticket has been filed. On or before the appearance date, you can mail or bring to the court the plea form and the amount of the fine shown below.

If you want to plead NOT GUILTY and request a trial:
 If you wish to enter a plea of NOT GUILTY and desire a trial, you must so indicate in the proper space provided on the plea form. Return this form with your plea checked to the Justice Court no later than your appearance date shown on your citation. You will be notified by mail of the date for trial. Indicate whether you wish a trial by jury or trial before the judge. You have the right to a trial by jury if you so request.

If you want to take a Driving Safety Course:
 If you wish to take a Driving Safety Course for dismissal of a moving traffic violation, complete the Reply Form indicating your request. You must return this form with a cashier’s check or money order for the $108.00 ($133.00 for school zone violations) court costs only (do not pay the fine) by the appearance date shown on your citation to be eligible for dismissal.

Failure to appear on or before Court Date:
 If you fail to respond to this charge by the appearance date shown on your citation, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest, suspend renewal of your driver’s license and charge you with an additional offense for “Violation of Promise to Appear”.
******A conviction of an offense under a traffic law of this state may result in the
assessment on your driver’s license of a SURCHARGE.******
